Outreach, Community Arts Education, and Audience-Building Profile

“Growing up in the country gave me a tremendous appetite for being physically active outdoors. Subsequently, my company now performs
outdoors whenever possible, on the sidewalks and in plazas and parks, providing greater accessibility for more people. I believe this is
key for cultural sustainability and growth!”
Ellen Cornfield

Dedicated to integrating dance into the larger community, the Company presents their work in numerous alternative venues through their Performance Outreach Activities, and partners with various institutions’ through their Arts-in-Education programs. Cornfield is interested in stimulating the artistic imaginations of audiences and students alike, and cultivating and educating the hearts and minds of the community. She believes that dance performed within the contexts of people’s daily lives and in unexpected environments gives new and seasoned audiences alike a surprising and revitalizing performance experience.
