Propelled by a dynamic, robust and elegant dance language, The
Endless Ladder explores two simultaneously existing realities that
experienced together comprise our endless climb - the inevitable
struggles of life, and our obligations as moral and spiritual beings
to establish comity, respect, and love for one another. To describe
our contrasting and at times conflicting emotional states, Cornfield
utilizes dance phrases of luscious, rounded movements along with
spiky and aggressive ones, creating dance phrases that range from
playful to serious. With this material, she sculpts a dance that is
grand in scale while at the same moment intimate in feeling.
